GamersNexus: " Late last night, nVidia kicked off CES with a press conference discussing numerous graphics computing topics and advancements, but took everyone by surprise with its own handheld gaming system."
The HD console war is over
it's not portable if you must set next to a pc. useless device. Console war will Never END, at least not by this stupid device.
Pretty sure you only need to be near a PC if you want to use the 'remote play' functionality. It's also a powerful portable android gaming device, on it's own. Personally I wouldn't get one anyway. Flip top lid and bulky controller would make it kind of awkward and weird to take out the home, and streaming games from my PC doesn't seem worth the expense. I could just use steam big picture and a wireless 360 controller if that were an issue.
@ChronoJoe , yes because you need a powerful android gaming device to play games like angry birds.... /sarcasm...
This looks like the first ever Xbox controller with a tablet mini screen attached. It looks heavy and gaudy and uncomfortable. Can this even fit in your pocket? Wonder what the battery life is. And how much is this going to be? Where is this something to compete with Vita or 3DS? Might as well own a good laptop for gaming over buying something like this. Glad to see technology getting smaller and better, but this isn't where it should be going yet.
So many options to choose from. There's a lot of competition now, so it'll be even more difficult for dedicated gaming machine (srunken market).
the 720 and PS4 need to hurry up. The market is going to be saturated with options by E3 2013.
That looks really bad.
Pretty awesome. There are times where I feel like playing a PC game, but don't want to sit at my desk to do so. I know I can just set my PC up to my TV which is in front of my bed, but I'm too lazy to do it lol. Wonder how much this will sell for and if it will be released in the UK. Would definitely love one of these.
So it doesn't play pc games, just streams them? I'm good on that, NEXT!
Most important... what's the price ?
It's an android device, i can play all of it's games on my Galaxy SII with my Dualshock 3... NEXT!
So you need a PC in order for it to work? I assumed that you could just download them to the device. Kinda useless imo.
***"I assumed that you could just download them to the device."*** That's what I thought too! If it worked like that^^^ THEN this portable console would have been something else! The only way now I see myself buying this device is if it has a good amount of games that actually take advantage of the system. Until then it's not on my radar at all.
