OXCGN:
"Recently, the Alan Wake Facebook page had a tease saying that we’ll soon be seeing what Remedy has been up to all this time.
Considering that both titles ended with the ominous message “Alan Wake’s journey through the night will continue,” I think it’s safe to say that Alan Wake 2 is in development.
With that in mind, here is exactly what Alan Wake 2 needs to succeed."
AW2 needs to either add in a more diverse enemy range, or overhaul the combat focus.
Say some enemies can only be damaged by natural light, artificial, UV, or a combination of light and other objects.
Would keep it interesting.
As long as you aren't constantly needing to swap between light sources with a button, making it more annoying than cool

As for the game, Alan Wake is one of the best games this generation.
Can't wait for a reveal of AW2, it looked like it was supposed to be revealed at the last E3, but it seems it was dependent on Microsoft revealing the 360's successor.
More like exhausting...
I really want the SANDBOX gameplay we saw demoed by Intel way back in the day!
And wouldn't you rather them make money in such a discreet way? Rather than charge YOU extra?
People are reminded about real life, realising they are playing a game, reducing immersion.
But I understand where you are coming from.
There's a lot of potential in Alan Wake 2
Double the length
Make it HD
Less flashlight
More mission variety
More enemy variety
Hopefully Alan Wake 2 kicks off the next Xbox, because I feel like that could potentially be a killer app for the console. I think word of mouth and some of the accolades Alan Wake got, including Time Magazines GOTY, got people interested and while I don't see the franchise being in the 5 million range, it could easily do 2-4 and be considered a success.
