I've saved enough for one without being economically stupid. still, I think I'm likely to wait a year after release to let the bugs and dust settle. So I still have awhile, good thing I have the likes of skyrim and other games to keep me busy.
"Can gaming get any more realistic than it is now? Yes. Xbox will be a beast under the hood, wth four core processors fuelling the fun. In layman’s terms that means it will make the many of the current high-end PCs look like the lowest-end PC"
This is my favourite part of the whole thing. Absolute madness and speculation with zero sources or research.
Edit: Just had to quote this to you guys to so you get an idea of the quality journalism you are looking at to avoid getting them a hit.
"Perhaps more exciting is some of the virtual reality stuff proposed. Kinect 2.0 will be built into the main system and promises four-player recognition and the sort of sensitivity that can detect the smallest finger movement".
Couldn"t of put it better myself exactly what im gonna do,especially seeing as ive just forked out 220 quid for my 500 gig super slim im also wanting to see what steam has to offer on top of the next ps and nextbox,it will seem kinda strange next gen with gabe and his posse entering the console arena, but exciting non the less......
people who wants specific features for PS4 should go to official sony website forum and type it there, if you start a bright idea, people will be all around it, in the end Sony could use something "YOU" requested....
I'd get a PS4 on day one without a question but I just refuse to stand in those long lines again. I did it with the PS3 and it was a nightmare. Something I will never do in my entire life again.
But if I get a chance, I will buy a PS4 day one. Money is not an issue at all.
Lol you lined up to get a ps3??? Really? Are you being sarcastic? Dude they had pyramids of ps3's everywhere that sat there for a long long time. Well.the good news is that it was only you in the line up.so you didnt wait long lol
In ny it was sold out everywhere. so these mountains of ps3s must have been in the middle of the nevada desert cause there were none here. And when they did get a shipment mom and pop store sold em for around 800 - a grand and alot of places sold the games first week for like 80 90 a pop.
I don't know where you have seen those "pyramids of ps3s" but here in NYC it was sold out for months. In the line there was around a 1000 people plus. I was at the Sony Plaza here in Manhattan. But if I didn't do that I wouldn't have been able to get a PS3 for at least 4-5 months here in the city and online prices were just crazy at $1000-$5000.
Wow, this article just wow. Professionalism out the window, regarding specs. and how they should compare to PC's. At least he's sounds excited I guess.
I would normally agree but that console was rushed. I don't think they are going to be rushing out a console this time. Now, will it still have some issues? I'm sure it will but I don't think it will be nearly as bad as a RRoD which impacted a majority of the consoles.
I had no problems with my xbox360. Didn't buy it until 2008. I had ps3 since day 1 and i had to replace that. Replace my older xbox360 with a slim and its great. I never had any problems last gen with my original xbox either. If I have problem with either this gen they will be covered by a warranty. I'm not worried.
...But I think I'll wait a good 6-12 months before getting PS4 just to get the bugs out and updated hardware installed. Not to mention the variety of SKU's to choose from.
I plan on buying all next gen systems eventually. I will start with the next Xbox, then the WiiU, and then the PS4. Hope they will all be full of great games like they were this past gen.
I'm really excited about next gen consoles. I am also a pc gamer. That said, just saw this and lol'd.

It will look good, I agree. But not like that...
Overall I honestly think this article was lackluster and a cry for hits. Funny timing after that other article a day or two ago, "how to make money off the ps4..."
I already spent a lot of money on my Wii U, so I don't see myself getting a PS4 or a Xbox 720 this year (if they're released).
However, that could change in a couple years, once both consoles have built a bigger and better game library for them. If I get another console, it most likely will be a PS4 - Sony has a lot of superb exclusives.
But for this year? I have more than enough with my Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS, and coming soon, OUYA (backed it on Kickstarter). I actually have much more in my plate than I can chew... :S
Uhm... why the disagrees? If you're going to disagree on a post that's not trolling or being offensive at all, it would be nice if you at least replied to explain why the disagreement. I stated MY personal situation regarding games this year, and I don't see how anyone could disagree with it.
Ps4 = god mode. It will be amazing, full HD graphics, true multitasking, cross game chat ( like vita), and enhanced ps vita connectivity. Bring it Sony.

For the record, I didn't disagree. The Sun is an absolutely atrocious, abomination of a publication, and Lee Price is a tool.
In layman's terms this 'journalist' is a moron.

Sony PS4 > Xbox 720

Does it even have red lights?
