OXM - Another day, another next gen Xbox feature, another futile rummage through the internet's laundry basket in search of credible-looking fan mock-ups of unannounced hardware. Having published, oh, six and a half trillion next gen headlines in the last five minutes alone, I'm bang up to date with all the hottest and most memorable specimens. Join me, if your eyes can bear the terrible corrosive effects, for a guided tour.
GB: "The Switch is inarguably in its final stages of its lifecycle. As such, we try to speculate what its successor would look like from a specs perspective."
It’s just a guessing game until Nintendo officially reveals the console. Better to keep expectations low.
My only expectation would be it can play existing switch carts and digital games. Like 3DS did with DS
We have to be realistic given the requirements Nintendo usually considers when deploying a new console the last few years.
It must be power efficient and small in form factor in addition to being hybrid (therefore lowered specs in comparison with other consoles). This means that it will not become as hot when playing as say the Steam Deck.
It must be relatively cheap (not in the 500$ price range but lower)
It must be backwards compatible with Switch
Therefore I am expecting base PS4 power level with newer hardware and upscaling tricks. Anything more powerful will eat the battery rather quickly especially if the rumours about the 8 inch screen are true.
But consider having a Zelda with Ghosts of Tsushima level of graphics! That would be simply stunning
"As part of the integration of GAME, we will be phasing out the trade-in, pre-owned and Game Elite offerings in the UK over the coming months," a spokesperson for the chain's owner Frasers Group told BBC News"
Seems like a blizzar move here. It's the second hand market they thrived upon.
If I'm not mistaken game are owned by the same company who own GameStop in the US?
Whaaaa
Gamestation is gone
Grainger Games is gone
CEX is shit
Jesus. The only reason we use GAME is because there’s nobody else and they get away with this shit.
eBay does well on second hand games, always works for me, always get more than I would have done trade in .
which if effectively a double con, as with a trade in you are normally offered a fair market price, on the reasoning, you are in-affect promising to buy the future product form the same retailer.
Were people even doing this these days? They offer awful amounts. The best way is to ebay or gumtree. Day ones games are generally getting 90% of my money back after I'm done with them
A high street store can not compete with online. Game prices are £59.99 for a new release. Go with many of the online stores and those games are £44.99-49.99 for day one.
The fact game charge you £5 more to collect in-store compared to their own online shop is a joke. The excuse was on the lines "it's our stocking fee."
I stopped using game around 5 or more years back. I'd pop in looking for a real bargain, but rarely find anything.
I'm not surprised they're going out of business, they could not get with the times and they definitely could not compete with online when greed was the forefront.
AMD has expanded its Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) tech to Radeon 700M iGPUs which play a major role in laptops, handhelds & desktops.
The ideal FPS would be for Steam Deck 45fps which is boosted to match the 90hz screen. However, today's new games are not on that level even on the OLED version, so the successor to Phoenix Point needs to come out fast. The 2nd Gen Steam Deck needs a VRR screen as well to make this doable. 2025 should be the year for such a device.
"Xbox Flabby Flaps"
lmao
The Xbox World one doesn't look half bad.
5,7,9 look cool I would buy either one
