Persona 4 Golden Review | Velocity Gamer

"Persona 4 Golden is more of an amazing RPG, and that’s honestly all I really wanted." - Mike C, Velocity Gamer (Persona 4 Golden, PS Vita) 5/5

This game looks great, however, I have for restricted myself from buying due to my current backlog which consists of AC3:L, LBP and that doesn't even mention my PSP and PS1 vIta games.

By the time you get it, it should be around $20 bucks..which would be a steal for this game!

I bought yesterday and I'm really liking it. It's been awhile since I've played a game on my Vita.

I am playing the hell out of this. Its one addiction after the other. Was in the middle of my Virtues Reward addiction when this shit came out. Got it day one and im at the last level of my first play through. Currently clocking 112hrs and 4 minutes. Last game I played that much was skyrim. Its that fun.

Can someone tell me what's so great about this game? I just ordered it 2 days ago, so I'm waiting on my copy to arrive. I'd rather hear some opinions of my fellow n4g'ers than a lot of reviews that seem to say the same generic things.

Well first off theres a ton of things to get lost in. The various ways to "improve" your character and his abilities. The cast of characters is excellent with excellent voice acting to boot. It has the collectable card feeling with the personas that one, which always has you trying to get stronger. That way you can get that cool looking White Rider persona, just to see another persona that looks even cooler after it. I just hit lvl 93 and my persona stable is awesome. You aren't forced to grind like in some jrpgs (Im looking at you disgaea) but as in most RPGS it does make for smooth sailing, and unlike those other games you WANT to grind because its fun in here and you want those lvls so you can get those personas! The storyline is great as well. No teen angst or none of that other tired bull. These are all silly teens that have realistic issues. Tons of side quest and replay value. I can't praise this game enough. I haven't been on my brand new Wii U because persona is that damn good. Even after that I gotta get the other endings on Virtues Reward. Enjoy the game when it comes. (you don't really have a choice)

Game has tons of things to do.. unlike some games that have a more obvious focus on a fewer things.

Game rocks. Singlehandedly made my vita purchase worthwhile. Def hope we get Persona 5 on vita. RPGs fit on handhelds so damn well.

I went and ordered Devil Survivor Overclocked and 2 after loving this so much. I played P3P and P2 a bit but this made me a junkie for these games. Can't wait for Soul Hackers and Shin Megami Tensei 4. Might even get Strange Journey also although that seems pretty damn hardcore lol. I like the story and characters most that's why I love Persona. I hope we get more jrpg loving ASAP.
