That's pretty accurate to a point, given the game was originally intended to be the sequel to 2009's Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, and that it does incorporate many elements that have become ubiquitous to the series (crystals, grand quests, jobs, and such). However, it would be a mistake to think that it doesn't bring anything new to the table. It does, and RPG fans should be interested."
