Xbox 720: Everything We Know So Far

NowGamer: Next-gen Xbox, the Xbox 720 or whatever you want to call it, Microsoft's next Xbox could be many things, but just which of the rumours can we really believe? (Microsoft, Next-Gen, Xbox 360)

Lots of rumors, can't wait for some facts though.

Me too. Larry Hyrb's comment about "it's on" could be a ploy to force Sony's hand. The Wii U is already out and if Microsoft plans to unveil the new Xbox that could hurt Sony if they don't show anything on the PS4. Especially if the new Xbox is far along in development and comes out this year.

Sony already said they don't want to allow Microsoft a year headstart again. They also need to give Vita a lot of attention this year, so that puts Sony is a predicament. Do they announce a PS4 and how much better Vita connects with it to drive Vita sales or does announcing the PS4 take attention away from Vita? A PS3/Vita bundle for $399 (or less) might also be up their sleeve.

As for the rumors I do hope they show a much better Kinect with it. As of late Kinect has drifted away because the better with Kinect campaign failed. Perhaps Kinect 2.0 could actually fulfill that promise? Some hate the whole Kinect thing but I thing there's a lot of potential there so disagree all you want. I can also see Microsoft putting in a subscription based model and tie the Live fees with the contract term together. That way the upfront cost is lower than both the PS4 and Wii U. It could also be partnered with some cable providers because we all know Microsoft is trying to have their devices be the center of our living rooms.

Windows 8 also needs a kickstart and what better way than to have a new Xbox and Smartglass app all tie it together.

This is a big year for Microsoft. Windows 8 is doing rather poorly and console sales have fallen. They also can't seem to crack the tablet and smartphone market very well. What I do know is they need to have different people doing their E3 show. It's been really bad over the past few years so imo it needs to change.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney, I don't see Halo 5 coming out this year. It's way too early. I doubt anything will even be shown on it.
