of course its ok not to like every great game. I, for example, do not like GTA at all. any of them. However, that doesn't mean i think its a horrible game because i know there are people out there that love the crap out of it.

im not going to go around b*tching and whining and telling everyone that this game sux and they shouldnt play it simply because i dont like it. What a lame excuse that would be haha!

The influence of seeing a published "9/10" is pretty large. People really don't realise how much the media shapes them and their opinions. Not to sound like a paranoic, but it really is true.

You're not paranoic. For example, I think think metacritic is a horrible site to determine your purchase but alot of people do that anyway. Heck some people use metacritic scores to say one game is better than the others.

Also so many people hate IGN. Yet they're arguably the most popular for reviewing games and they have a ton of influence among other smaller sites

It's ok to like a game with a rating below 8 too. There are some games I really like that scored in the 70s on metacritic, like Unit 13 and ps all stars.

i really don't see why some critics don't like allstars... i think it's so much fun!

Good...because I hated Skyrim and Fallout NV and Fallout 3 and Oblivion. I honestly don't understand why people like those games. I mean, I want to like them. Hell, I bought them all in an effort to like....but they are awful. Slow, lifeless treks across various woodlands or wastelands to do whatever menial task any asshole you meet wants. All of them had terrible combat. All of them were and buggy mess that were only playable after the PC modding community did what Bethesda and Obsidian should have during development.

Now, most people I tell that to call me crazy but in reality, YOU are the crazy ones...lol.
