While the smart money says that Ubisoft will be the one who comes out with THQ in the end — which probably isn’t a bad thing — my inner fanboy is rooting for another company to win this prizefight. While If the best home for THQ’s vagabond games is the company where they’ll do the most “good,” then I think there’s a publisher that would be a better fit...
Another Metro? Sorry, THQ is stuck making Metroid: Other Metro.
Company of Heroes? More like Amusement Park of Heroes featuring chibi versions of beloved Nintendo characters...oh wait, that would be the sequel to NintendoLand.
It only means more games, but with Nintendo leading it. It just means GREAT GAMES.
Really, Nintendo does this? When have they done this to any game they took control of?
The Wii had its fair share of hardcore, adult games and the WiiU is trying desperatly to recapture it's hardcore audience.
Unless you were trying to be funny.
Dawn of war 1 and Dark crusade are my favorite PC games ever......
They better not take away base building in DoW 3.....
Was it not this same Nintendo that helped push Eternal Darkness and Geist????
Is this not the same Nintendo that is helping publish Bayonetta 2 right now???
Your logic is baffling to say the least.
Satisfied?

I was merely responding to your criticism of the statement. Frankly I don't think it's so bad to wish a company would buyout another company in serious need of financial assistance.
THQ just needs to trim the fat, gravely.
Sorry to the Nintendo fans and fanboys. I do NOT want to even think about Sony owning THQ and probably restricting Saints Row titles and Darksiders to be exclusive to them.
Games that THQ make are great games that completely deserve to be as multiplatform as possible.

I love THQ games, but not enough to buy a Wii U.

Triple post apparently :I
THQ needs to be bought by a 3rd party company that's not Ea or Activision. Pipe dream would be that Valve buys but I'm almost 100% certain they won't...
Or will Nintendo force THQ developers to develop more casual games/begin the milking of Metroid, Pikmin, Zelda, etc?
Either way, lose lose.
IF they bought it hopefully yhey would retain the workers along with the ip's and foster there growth while at the same time giving advice a to how produce some games that have broader appeals outside of those absolute mostly fuckfaces with thier superior attitudes that consider themselves "hardcore" to turn some good profit on top of it so that they could make games for everyone rather than die trying to cater to a small crop of entitled pricks.
in my experience, anyone who label themselves hardcore gamers are just exclusionary jackasses with chips on thier shoulders looking for some sort of reason to elevate themselves above others who also game but have a broader range of likes within the games available.
Are you sure they will force THQ developers to make more "casual" games? Or this is yet another typical kneejerk response from Sony/Microsoft fanboys.
the problem really if any of the big 3 (Sony, MS, and Nintendo) buy out THQ is that it would mean that their IPs will most likely end up as exclusives for the platform, which in this current situation would not really help the gaming industry. so yeah, i'd prefer if some other 3rd party buy out THQ (which atm looks more likely to be Ubisoft), and churn out multiplats for THQs IPs.
