Why We're Excited About 2013: The Last of Us | 1UP

1UP: "Somewhere in your genetic make-up -- deeper down for some -- nature has put in the code for paternal instincts. Once you have a child, the drive to protect that little bundle of joy is incredibly overwhelming. Every scratch and bruise, every time another snot-nosed kid acts like a bully, it feels like you're taking on the wound ten-fold. The Last of Us may have figured out how to tap into those emotions, tugging at our heart-strings to create a narrative with real staying power." (PS3, The Last Of Us)

it's Naughty dog
since ps1 till now they never made a bad game
all uncharted games were awesome and won HUGE (and i mean HUGE)numbers of GOTY awards
Jak and daxter games are awesome
crash games are awesome
the last of us won't be any different than those games
it will hit big and win sh1t load of GOTY awards and score very high

Yeah it will be noting short of a runaway success.

Must absolutely agree here. ND is in my honest opinion the best and most consistent developer that can make open world games like Jak 2 and 3, racing games CTR and Jak X, action adventure UC series and platformers with Jak 1 and Crash series. Unquestionable top shelf AAA quality and production values from the inception of the studio till now almost 20 years later. Yes, there consistency to quality in unbelievable.

I'm sure Naughty Dog will yet again raise the bar and show other developers how it should be done. The Last of Us and GTA 5 are my most anticipated games this year. And then there's all those other amazing titles that are worth playing. 2013 is going to be one hell of a year for us gamers.

THE LAST OF US will be my game of all time
I dont care of reviews or anything like that
I know it since the first information came out (no demo gameplay no screens, nothin except a few infos and 2 short disturbing teaser vids)

It's going to be interesting to read the complaints from people who go in all guns blazing only to realize they have no bullets left later on. This is the balancing act I'm most looking forward to. Do you stealth as much as possible or do you risk all and hope you can take more ammunition from felled foes than you would if you searched carefully and quietly? Then we have to ask ourselves, is that fungal infection limited to humans?

It amazes me Gribble how ppl say this a pro Sony site, yet you only have two bubbles and other bozos who spew out total nonsense trolling against Ps3 and everything Sony have more than three lol

As for the mods lol well we all know they def. aren't neutral or pro Sony lol

Gribble, I say now that I can't be bothered to read what those sort of people have to say, with no-name sites trying to drag down an excellent game or complaining for reasons such as you mentioned and nitpicking elsewhere. I mean we already have a specific hater on here already, who somehow thrives on ignorance.

On the matter of the game, I also can't wait to approach it in a number of ways on different playthroughs. I think the choices you make on first playthough will cut the memory deepest, just like in Quantic Dream productions and series like Mass Effect. That is what I'm most interested in, well besides how deep inventory management runs and how the story/characters/locations/rel ationships/enemies develop.
