Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2013

2012 was a busy year for Nintendo, but now it's all about moving forward with its current systems, with Wii U hogging plenty of headlines by virtue of the fact that it's less than two months old. We won't truly know how well worldwide launch and Holiday sales have gone until Nintendo gives us definitive figures — probably in its financial reports — but what is clear is that Wii U needs a big year ahead of the expected arrival of shiny new competitors from Microsoft and Sony.

With the launch batch of games now on store shelves, unless you subscribe to Nintendo's rather large "launch window" premise, we can look at what's on the way. Much is still unknown about what's coming in 2013, as the confirmed line-up only really covers the first half of the year. You can expect Nintendo Direct broadcasts and E3 to sort that out, but in the meantime Nintendo Life lists 10 games that it thinks are worth a bit of hype and attention.

Cannot wait for this game. Looks absolutely gorgeous and I loved the first two, so I am sure to enjoy this one as well.

Lego City and Wonderful 101 are the other two games on this list that I am most looking forward to.

It will be interesting to see if there are any major Nintendo IP's to be released in 2013 like a 3D Mario, Star Fox or Metroid game.

I'd like to see DLC for ZombiU that adds a coop multiplayer mode, something like Halo's firefight or Gears Horde mode (currently there is only 1 on 1 vs) and maybe even take the current modes and make them online as opposed to just local. Awesome game though even as it stands, as far as survival horror goes it puts Resident Evil 5 & 6 totally to shame!

I don't see why.
There are at least 7 titles there that are promising and are bound to be good, if not decent.

Of course, if it's not up your alley. No one can dispute that. But I will disagree when you say that this is a "poor" line up. Not at all, mate.

Thanks for pointing out Project Cars is coming to the Wii U. I've seen the screen shots and videos and just assumed from the amazing graphics it would be PC only.
