Diddy Kong Racing U Could be Coming in 2013

Boy, are there a lot of rumors floating around. Zelda U, Xbox, last week brought us Smash Bros. Could there possibly be any more?

Well, apparently Diddy Kong Racing for Wii U is coming sometime this year.

If this rumour is confirmed I'm going to lose my effing mind! It seems plausible despite the source (GameFAQs), Nintendo have trusted Monster Games with several titles before including Pilotwings and Excite Trucks so it's either true or a well thought through hoax.

If they do, I hope its this time not filled with a bunch of generic characters. Sonic & All Stars RT has given me enough racing with characters I've never heard of.

I mean if somebody were to tell us years ago that Nintendo was working with Retro on a Donkey Kong country reboot we would've all laughed but they did.

If true this is good news but Nintendo should stop with this teasing and just go all out with a Nintendo Smash Bros Karting something along the lines of Sega All Stars.

Every Nintendo character should get a chance to race a kart in Nintendo game theme styled tracks.

Nothing will top the simplicity of Rare's Diddy Kong egg snatch mini-game. I used to spend hours playing this with friends = )

I need this game, but it makes zero sense for them to launch this before Mario kart. The Mario Kart is a system seller the Wii U for when the ps4/720 launches.

I remember when the Gamecube was announced and there was a concept for a Rareware game called 'Donkey Kong Racing', where the racing was done on animals. It never released, but looked cool.

Oh my god!!! I'm so excited right now and glad I bought my wiiU on launch!! Please be true. Please be true. Please be true. Oh and hopefully we get a sequel from retro studios on a new donkey kong game. I still haven't played the wii one but I will soon. Loving the fact wiiU is backward compatible with all the old wii games since ppl like me skipped the original wii.
