Top 10 Wii U predictions for 2013

2012 was a great year for the Wii U. The console finally launched and was well received among gamers — it sold out very quickly almost everywhere when it first launched.

The staff at Wii U Daily compiled a list of Top 10 Wii U predictions for the next 12 months, where they look into the crystal ball and see what’s in store for Nintendo’s new console in 2013.

"Nintendo/Apple deal" and "Miiverse on smartphones and PC" are not gonna happen. simple logic

Nintendo have already said that they want miiverse on smartphones and on pc, it's in the non-specific action figure video.

The "Nintendo/Apple" deal however I think is completely wishful thinking on wiiU daily'S part I don't think that s going to happen.

Miiverse on smartphones and PCs has already been hinted at by Nintendo. It's going to happen. Apple/Nintendo deal probably not although it would be cool...

Yeah. Apple's partnership is the most unlikely prediction on the article.

Nintendo better hurry up and get some more games out soon. They can't survive off the same launch games all year. I'm very tempted to sell mine now while its still new ish to get the most for it cause it doesn't look like alot of great games will be coming until at least another year or so. And in that time, the ps4 will most likey be out. Help me out ppl, should I keep mine or sell it? I spent over $500 for it and I'm sorta having the buyers regret now. I have mario u and ninja gaiden 3 and a pro controller.

I thought it was already known that more games were coming? Yoshi Land, Smash Bros., and the games from Monolith and Retro Studios ring a bell?

What baffles me is that he is expecting PS4 to have a wide stream of games poring in the first 4 months. It will be no different than the Wii-U. Same will be with the next xbox.

Building a library takes time. Neither do we know exactly what all the games are going to be for wii-u in 2013. Thus asking for advice becomes moot.

The wiiu also has a full lineup of wii games to play via backwards compatibility, something the ps4 is rumored be incapable of. Sure, it is just a rumor, but even a back alley wisper is still more substantial than the current "nothing" of the known ps4 line up.

Well, personally, I'd keep it. Technically, it's just one month old. There are many games coming, so I feel it's not worth selling the system when more things are on the way, and then having to buy it again if something gets your interest. You could end up regretting it. If I were to sell it, I'd wait some more time before making a choice.

But if you don't think waiting for new titles is not worth it, and you have no plans of buying any of the other games from the launch window, then sell it. It's your call anyways, so do what you feel.

I hope Nintendo does introduce achievements. I was surprised they didn't since many recent first party games have achievement-like systems (Nintendo Land, that street pass rpg).

I doubt Zelda will be out in 2014. Skyward Sword took over six years to make.

Nintendo has stated why there are no system wide achievements: they don't want to force them on anybody. Games are free to have achievement set-ups, but aren't forced to like they are on ps3 and 360.

Monster Hunter p3rd hd not being brought over, according to Capcom, was caused by Sony keeping them from releasing it west without trophy support, which Capcom refused to add(among other situations of non-support). While that IS a one-sided accusation, all Sony would say about the whole ordeal of p3rd's localization was "Ask Capcom", so...

I don't care for Achievements either way, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them added to wiiu... but I hardly think they are necessary.

It's pretty silly. Since when did anyone achieve something while playing video games?

I've always played them for fun, not to stroke myself thinking I did something that mattered.

Game for fun not achievement.
