Wiiloveit.com: Liberation Maiden - 3DS Download Review

"Nothing would please me more than to see an increased production of new, exhilarating properties on the 3DS, and to observe some of these creations are slowly filtering in from Japan leaves me hopeful such will come to pass. The thought of balanced exertion and adrenalin-impacting gameplay is, of course, not limited a particular genre, but it is admittedly uncharacteristic of, say, puzzle games to exhibit these qualities. Shoot 'em ups, on the other hand, have a specialty of meeting these criteria with relative consistency, and, at times, even going forth with a mark of creativity. Bent on leaving a similar mark is Liberation Maiden, a game that leans to inspiring aims by being the first of its make on the system -- and in the form of a downloadable game, no less. The surmounting performance of Liberation Maiden is, in some respects, in its own league, and yet it still isn't quite as stellar as might be hoped for." -- Wiiloveit.com (3DS, Liberation Maiden) 73/100
