CCC writes: For the second time this year, I have been given the opportunity to write about sexy video game characters. (Last time, I was writing about sexy villainesses.) Life is good. And luckily, so was 2012’s gaming lineup. We’ve had brilliant triple-A titles, fantastic and innovative new IPS, genres turned on their head, and a comic-to-game adaptation that didn’t suck. And, consequently, we found and came to love a new round of gorgeous, comically proportioned, quintessentially sexy casts and protagonists. So here you have it, the top ten characters that contributed some invaluable eye candy to the year and made their games that much more enticing.
Sony is hosting its traditional conference just before the 2024 International CES in Las Vegas. Of course, PlayStation played a part in the celebrations.

I didn't even know a movie was coming. If they can get the visuals and everything right I'll watch it.
I didn't either, until this article. I'm also surprised, since GR was a commercial flop. Seems weird that they'd want to invest money into making it into a film.
I think the games are great though, especially on Vita. I think the move to PS4 killed the experience a little, but I'd still like to see a new one.
I didn’t know it was in development ether but it makes sense after they saw the first doctor strange movie and the far from home fight, if it’s like that’s it’s going to be one of those Oscar nominees

Only played the demo of gr2 but let me say it’s one of the most artistic and inventive new games. Ps5 will power gr3 to new heights

GR2 flopped, which would they make a new game? A movie has more appeal and a successful hit at the bix office, could lead to a new game for the franchise
Ok, I’ll stop sitting on Gravity Rush 2. It’s been in my library for only 8 years.
Play Gravity Rush Remastered first if you haven't already, the stories are linked together. GR 2 is a fantastic game, it has a lot of stuff to see and do. In fact I have purposefully not completed the game 100% because I simply didn't want the game to end. I still have some trophies to collect, and a whole free story DLC chapter to play through.
Gravity Rush 3 would be amazing! But the team that made parts 1 and 2 were shut down, so I don't expect it to happen. This was Jim Ryan's biggest sin of all, shutting down PlayStation Japan Studios. What a shame.
Why not both? I really like the games and was disappointed we didn't get a third game to finish off the story, but I wouldn't mind a movie either if it's well done. Maybe it'll drum up enough interest to get us that third game.

Same. This series really resonates with my gaming spirit. I love these games so much that I got four platinums out of two games. I was always dreading that we would never get another game after Japan Studio's closure, but I'm feeling hopeful in them not giving up on the franchise with this move. My guess is that they're going to use this as a funding point

There have been plenty of great villains in video games over the years. Now it's time for the VGU crew to name a few of their favorites.

This is why guest characters shouldn't be on the base roster. Im sure Ezio and the whole Assassin's Creed stuff license expired and that is why it is being removed. The same thing is probably going to happen to Soul Calibur 6 in 10 years.
I doubt a lot of people still played the worst SC game over 10 years after its release on dead consoles.
Right whoever wanted the game would've had it by now. Also physical is usually the better option
I've been mainly gaming on PC for 12 years now. I don't think there was ever a game that was actually taken away from me.
Even the multiplayer-focused games, with their servers typically being taken down, you can still host your own.
Not sure why People are so against digital. You still need online infrastructure just to update your games or to patch them. You're stuck to online/digital one way or another.
Most games play just fine without an internet connection. There are also other reason aside from preservation, digital games are often more expensive (at least the one I'm buying) than what you can find through deals in stores. But most of all I just like to be able to actually own the games as physical objects, being able to lend them out etc. And be assured that I can still play them in the future. Sure you can probably emulate them, but I prefer to play on console and I'd rather play an actual copy than an emulation anyway.
I'm not against digital in itself, I just don't want to be forced to go digital because the physical option is taken away. Just give people the option to either get it physically or digitally, that way everyone is happy and it's also the best way to preserve games for the future.
