IGN: SCEA's Marketing VP Scott Steinberg Interview

While Sony appeared to have stumbled shortly after the launch of the PS3, the tail end of 2007 was an incredibly strong closer for the company. Part of this was due to the drop in price for the system to $399, which buoyed sales. Powered by acclaimed titles such as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Sony had an extremely strong holiday season. The PSP also enjoyed brisk sales as well, thanks to its redesign and bundle packs, while the PS2 still sold well in its old age. All of that bodes well for the company as it looks forward to 2008. At GDC, IGN sat down with Scott Steinberg to see what the company's plans were in 2008 and the future.

Yes you will be owned.... I've been reading the developers blog and Sony is TOTALLY DOWNPLAYING KILLZONE 2 until they announce a realse date. hahahahahha Killzone 2 is gonna be HUGE in gameplay, GRAPHICS, Environment, EPICNESS!!! I bet it is the most OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG FPS EVER on a console... its gonna happen. Sony is SERSIOUSLY about to pull a quick one. Resistance 2 and of course MGS4 are also going to be huge.

I bet the PS3 outsells the 360 again in the U.S. this month... and especially all over the world.

Mark my words... Killzone 2 is goin to be HUGE. HUGELY EPIC.

All BOTS will feel the wrath of the SLAYSTATION!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH A

Also, I love how Sony turned it all around before the 1 year anniversary in the U.S. and Japan and way before the 1 year anniversary in Europe/PAL regions (which is March 23rd, 2008 if I am not mistaken). Good work.
