Before You Start: One Tip For Playing Journey The Best Way

Kirk Hamilton- "Here at Kotaku, we like to put together lists of tips for getting the most out of some games. Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Arkham City, games like that.

Journey isn't really a game like those other ones. There isn't actually a "best" way to play it. But there's one tip that I wanted to share, because I've found myself offering it to more and more people over the last month. Seeing as how Journey has wound up on lots of Game of the Year lists, I get the sense that there are still plenty of people firing it up for the first time."

How I played it: headphones on, cellphones off and played through in one sitting.

Strange, i felt like in need of buying wireless headphones for ps3, just for this game... i have nice set up of 5.1 in my room, but headphones, nice idea.

They are morons for not implementing a single player option in this game. I did the same thing and signed off after I realized someone was doing everything trying to show me everything. Fug that.

Did you ever think that this game was MEANT to be play with anonymous multiplayer?

Donnywho4125d ago (Edited 4125d ago )

I certainly agree that 1 out of 10 people would rather have someone show them how everything is done as opposed to figuring it out themselves.

aquamala4126d ago

that is true, if you're playing with someone that already played it, they can ruin the puzzle solving experience for you

There is a single player option.
Don't log into PSN.
No network no problem.

Common sense and instincts compels you to follow others.. but you really don't need to if you wanted. You can always just wander off and explore.
