Torchlight 2 sells 1 million units

Torchlight 2 has sold 1 million units according to Runic Games. They have revealed this information on their official Twitter account.

Play on Elite difficulty. Everything else felt really easy especially if you're familiar with ARPG.

Though Diablo 3 is not a terrible game, I feel like this game deserves a much bigger limelight than the Blizzard powerhouse this time around. It was excellent, through and through. If they had Blizzard levels of money to throw at stuff like voice-work, cutscenes and other presentational features, there wouldn't even be a contest.

Even if it did, it probably still wouldn't put a huge dent in Diablo III's sales. Believe me, Blizzard fanboys are the worst breed of gamers worldwide. Starcraft II is the prime example of this. They just lap it up despite existing so many better RTS games out there, and despite the game being virtually the same game as the first one over a decade ago with a slight graphical update.

Agreed. Those Blizzard fanboys are so stupidly blind. Blizzard could be robbing them and punching their faces and they'd still ask for more.

Yeah the blizzard fanboys don't care they are some of the worst fanboys about. My friend is a massive fan of them and I mentioned that I was thinking about getting Guild Wars 2 and I got a 30 minutes lecture on how WoW was better and how GW2 was terrible considering he never played the game and admitted to me he hadn't.

I hardly ever consider WoW a game, more like an interactive chat room for miserable housewives from the Great Plains looking for a fantasy world to escape to.

That's not really very many units sold considering this is basically a better version of Diablo 3. It deserves much better.

i called this over a year ago - this is the real diablo successor. While it certainly wont come close in terms of sales, it's leagues better in terms of gameplay....pvp anyone?

It really is a great game. While 1 million is awesome! It saddens me that this is only a fraction of the diablo 3 sales and at a third of the price too. It deserves much more sales for reasons of game content and price factor.
