Metro's Video Game Mini-Awards – The Best of 2012

Metro: It’s been another memorable year for video games, with bold new classics and controversial new sequels, but what have been the most prominent winners and losers? Although we’re not big fans of award shows that try to divide games along increasingly meaningless genre lines – or even worse according to format – the following all deserve to be recognised for their outstanding achievements (or lack of them).
