Thoughts of a Devil May Cry Fan

MTB: I’m not sure if this affects everyone, but have you ever had a friendship that was so amazing that you felt that it was destined to happen? It’s as if you guys were meant to be friends forever, like Double Dragon status. Then all things change. Whether it’s the times, priorities, or distance, the friendship isn’t what it used to be or it just flat-out ends. That’s what I feel about the new DmC. (Devil May Cry, PS3, Xbox 360)

of course, one is a video game and the other is a living human being.

Of course one can scream, rant and shout which will have no use whatsoever (because the game is already made and it'd be too late to change anything anyway even if NT cared) and the other can't.

No offence to the DMC fan but they might as well stop giving this game so much attention, because by the looks of things, NT won't change the game. It's like a petition. How many VG petitions have actually worked in the world? Probably very few. And probably even those petitions are such as "We want this game (timesplitters 4)" rather than "we don't want this game".

EDIT: GASP. Disagrees. I totally didn't see those coming :/

It's not about wanting NT to change the game. The game is exactly what most people expected. What fans are doing is continuously expressing their distaste for this game. To show Capcom that what they did was wrong and to show the people that this could happen to you someday with a franchise that you love.

EDIT:

This article is a downer. I understand where he is coming from with his viewpoint, but it seems like he feels the game is okay because it's easier and more streamlined and that he is too old to be learning all the intricacies of the past games, but there are many players, including me, who are still young and still love the old franchise and did not experience the franchise like he did.

This New Dante will never be what Old Dante was to me.

I enjoyed all DMC even though DMC 4 was a little boring but I'm not bitter, complaing or hating on the new DmC,I welcome this game as if I were just meeting a new friend.I enjoyed the demo & I'm quite sure I will enjoy the game,I'm looking forward to starting the new year with a good hack & slash game,Feb-MGSR & then Mar-GOW:A 2013 is starting out right for games!!

Solution: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

Buy something else.
DmC is like Street Fighter the movie with Jean Claude Van Damme, a complete bastardization of the franchise.

the young will come back asking us old guys for tips on first DMC game. will they though?

Capcom betrayed the franchise by making Emo may Cry.
Im waiting for MGR, go Raiden!!!
To the kids who liked the DmC demo and like the game, maybe you're too young to know what quality is. Maybe DmC and Twilight is more your thing.

OMG more of these moronic articles seriously quite bitching the original devs said you are still getting a dmc 5 by them
so what if a new ip wants to experiment with this if you played they demo then you know its pretty good

Just my opinion here but if the game does well performance wise, imma give it a go. It actually looks pretty cool despite their ugly version of succubuses and dialogue.
bayonetta  +   946d ago
the game will get a good responses from casual players
and Twilight Fans
not for the old devil may cry fans
