The XBLIG: Let’s just get it out in the open. It is impossible to mention White Noise: A Tale of Horror (80 MSP) or any of the harm / good it does, without first invoking Slender. Their two cores are so intrinsically-linked that it’s not out of order for you to call White Noise a straight-up rip-off. It is. It’s also a no-brainer. I can say I entirely don’t mind a console version (unoriginal as it may be) that can replicate the fear the indie PC release did such a masterful job at creating.
Gary Hartley Writes: You can never accuse White Noise of being original, but that's okay; it's sure as hell effective.
Is the blatant Slender rip-off White Noise: A Tale Of Horror worth your 80 Microsoft Points?

Horror games have become a dime a dozen now and frankly, aren’t that scary either. One only has to look at what Resident Evil used to be like, and what it’s become. It’s gone from Survival Horror to Action Third Person Shooter with Zombies. True there are some games such as Amnesia: Dark Descent who are flying the flag for truly scary games but they are few and far between. So where does White Noise fall? Surprisingly, and thankfully, it falls firmly into the latter. This is not a game to be played with the lights out.
