I think they're starting to run out of worlds to visit, and I don't want to keep revisiting the same worlds. I agree with the author, that Marvel and Star Wars would feel out of place in a Kingdom Hearts game.
One thing that I think would be awesome, and would get me re-interested in the series, would be to visit some Final Fantasy worlds (instead of just having a cameo or two). Seriously. Final Fantasy is barely even involved in the series, anymore.

But I agree despite being very good games revisiting the same worlds over and over is getting a bit tiresome and the only real reason I continue to follow the franchise is because I want to see the ending of the current story arc that is being told.
I would love to see this game released in a year or two, but the way Square Enix seems to have been dropping the ball on their game plans, it will probably be awhile before we get anything set such as a release date and what platform(s) it will be developed for.

But now I'm excited. Agni's Philosophy demo gives me hope that they could perhaps make KHIII look damn close to a pixar looking movie which would be awesome. Just sucks we have to wait so much longer.
It is kind of hard to understand, but if you take the time to think about it you appreciate the story, the characters, and the whole series a lot more.
They are also probably holding back info on KH3 to prevent making the same mistake they did with Versus by announcing it too early.
Yes for the long wait, but no for KH's having plenty of spin-offs to keep fans engaged.

Square enix has got to be the most incompetent, out of touch, moronic video game company on the face of the earth. im sure we can count on 5 more FFXIII sequels before kingdom hearts 3 sees the light of day. and what about FF verses? I guess we can wait 10 years for that as well. and the FFX HD remaster? maybe 5. the FFVII remake? maybe by the time im collecting social security.
Plus, I don't even know who this Xehonort guy is everyone is talking about. I remember fighting Maleficent, and riding down trees in Tarzan Land, and really loving the soundtrack....... that's about it. To catch up on the story would take way too much time that I currently don't have.
What was wrong with going into Disney worlds to save our childhood heroes and defeat the heartless? Did it really need to be more complex that that? Were people bored by that and I just missed the memo? :(
I could sum up the story as it stands in one paragraph but I won't for spoilers sake. Instead I will say that you need only play BBS and KH 3D from the "Spin off" games. BBS explains a lot of the ending of KH3D and KH3D has chronicles and an entire journal to fill in any missing points from previous games.
Still, not like it matters. I don't think KH3 will even be released until a good few years into ps4's lifespan and quite frankly I've given up caring. I'll play it when it releases eventually and I'll hopefully enjoy it but no fan of the series should be hyped for it as we all know its still no closer to release than it was 5 years ago!
You know what the problem is there, they made this the Xehonort Trilogy but brought the story out more about Xehonort by the handhelds instead of telling us in KH2. Birth By Sleep, 356/2 days, KH Coded, Dream Drop Distance. I mean why the hell make Xehonort the main bad guy of the trilogy then point this out in a restricted handheld game.
We had Chain of Memories before KH2 and even then it was confusing as hell, KH2 played like you had completed KH:COM.
Seriously why put the games on a Nintendo handheld, then a Sony one, then a Nintendo one then end with the current main title games being on the PS.
What I get from it is Master Xehonort was an old bad guy in Birth By Sleep.
He then forced his heart in Terra the guy in Birth By Sleep who then became Terra-Xehanort, after that he became Xehanort who became the apprentice of Ansem the Wise.
Xehanort's heartless became Ansem who stole Ansem the Wise's identity
His Nobody became the leader of the Organization 13..Xemnas
So from here I'm guessing after Master Xehanort possessed Terra after unlocking his own heart and his original body faded away Xehanort became a new person after Terra got rid of him but then theres talk of a young Xehanort who could posess time travel elements and..............you know what forget it my head hurts
See thats just a small chunk of the story over the past three handheld games.
2015 for KH3 is a pipe dream unless another team is working on it. Versus XIII is not finished yet and will probably not be about until at least late next year. That means that development on a next generation KH3 (if it starts development afterwards) won't begin until at least 2014-2015. If it takes 2-3 years to make it won't be out until 2017-2018.
Sorry if any of this sounds harsh, or if it seems like I don't want the game to come out sooner, but I'm just acting realistic. The problem is not just Square Enix. It's also your expectations.

^ There are six mistakes here alone. Seriously, some of them, a 2nd grader knows not to make.
That or they just improve the level design. Dream Drop Distance was a definite step in the right direction. Make the levels bigger, more like levels in an adventure platformer.
Thing is, plot wise, I don't really see how they'll need to visit loads of worlds in KH III. All that's ultimately going to happen is a big showdown between the 7 lights and the 13 darknesses. Why would they need to go world-hopping for that? I suppose they'll come up with something...
EDIT: Just remembered they still need to find the BBS gang...
I want them to work on Versus, KH3 and FF15 NOT more Lighting crap and the failure that is FF14

Is English your first language? If not, then you did a pretty good job. If your native language is English, however, there's no excuse for this, dude.
