Year in Review 2012: Best MMO | Gaming Examiner

The competition within the MMO genre has never been as close or as numerous then it was in 2012. Although many studios produced truly amazing games this year, no other game produced the same experience as ‘Guild Wars 2′.

ArenaNet and NCsoft set out change the way players experienced an MMO, and although that achievement can be argued, the quality and gameplay-experience that is found within ‘Guild Wars 2′ is truly a remarkable achievement. Guild Wars 2 offers the same basic format that many MMOs follow, but within the simple structure of the game, comes a remarkable journey that allows players to experience the world of Tyria first hand and like never before.
