Forza Horizon: Is continuous content always a good thing?

Forza Horizon is the latest motor sport offering in the ever-popular Forza series. Launched on 23 October 2012, the game is set in the Colorado area of the US of A and has already received a wealth of DLC.

The franchise has a history of producing ever-expansive content in the past. But is continuous support always a good thing?

I don't see it as a bad thing, it's always good to have continuos DLC and you do have the option to buy or not to buy.I see it as developers still supporting there baby, I also see it as developers getting all they can get out of there game."milking"

Only people that are complaining seems to be a bunch of broke-ass gamers! Continuous material is a good way to keep things fresh.

Heh, they'd want to extend the life of Horizon, I finished the game in about 4 or 5 days, I got all the achievements except for the signs, and I only had about five of those to go but I wanted to take the game back inside the return period at EB.

Fresh content is always great! Some people might be content with just finishing their $60 worth of game, but I buy Season Passes if it's a game I really like, the Forza Horizon DLC is epic, they even have an off road expansion pack that adds another 10+ hours of game play in the game.

I'm really getting sick of this fad of saying "milk" in every dang post.

Expand your vocabulary yo!

Of course continuous DLC is a good thing. It keeps the game relevant long into it's release.

Turn 10 has had the best reputation when it comes to game support releasing so much content over each of their ip's.

With Forza 4, there was a monthly DLC that contained 5-10 amazing cars from different era's in car history. A car enthusiast dream. In each months DLC of cars, you got 1 free one where you didn't need to buy the DLC.

From what I have seen so far, Playground Games is following in the same steps as Turn 10 with their Horizon game. Most likely they are working closely with Turn 10 and strong support for Horizon comes with it having the Forza name being in it.

Great thing about DLC is that you don't have to buy it if you don't want it and you can choose what you feel is worth your money and what isn't.

Forza Horizon: Rally Expansion Pack Review | El33tonline

Erick at El33tonline writes:

"The Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack is by no means a recreation of an existing rally game but rather a well-designed and fun add-on with the best possible integration into an existing, great game environment. This may expose rally to a large target audience more than a hardcore title would and this is perhaps part of the reason for its existence: To enjoy more than just road cars."
