Whittling Down a List of 2012 iOS Favorites

1up.com: 2012 was a fantastic year for mobile games. Despite the belief some naysayers continue to cling to, there are many iOS games that are not only worth playing, but are downright excellent. The platform is not the ideal one for every genre out there, what with it being free of any physical buttons, sticks, or triggers. But that's okay: it doesn't need to be able to facilitate a 1:1 port of every game traditionally played with a controller or keyboard and mouse. (Angry Birds Star Wars, Bastion, Fairway Solitaire, Hero Academy, iPad, iPhone, Punch Quest, Super Hexagon)
