Blah blah blah...you people need to give it up already and just accept that 360 users are happy with paying for Live becuase to them its worth it.

Why pay for food at a resturant when I can get free at a homeless shelter.

Why pay for internet when I can go oustside and pick up free Wifi.

Why pay for Dish or Cable when I can watch movies and shows for free on the internet.

Why buy clothes and shoes when I can get them free from the Salvation Army.

Why go to Star Bucks and pay $4 for coffee when I can get it for a $1 at Burger King.

Please do us a favour and stop posting on 360 articles.

The only thing Steam has going for it are its games collections and frequent sales on its store. But xbox live > steam when it comes to the social aspects of gaming, so party voice chat etc etc. Heck most people would rather use Ventrillo, and teamspeak over the voice features built into steam and those cost money. You get what you pay for.

And LOL at the fanboys complaining about $5 a month. Unless your still unemployed and still live in your mommies basement, $5 is nothing.

dishing out $35-40 bucks a year for a service I really like, when I have a decent job, is really nothing for me.

@SJPFTW

That is where I fully agree with you. PC has never been really social for gaming. I watch my brother play with people in Wow raids and stuff, so there definitely is a social aspect, but not every PC gamer wants to skype or team chat.

Much prefer the consoles, as you just put the headset in and let all the kids yell at you. Simple.
Some so are so cheap they skip xbox and play for free service that is just as good and better for netflix and new aaa games! just sayin..

Wow, all these comments and NOT ONE OF THEM actually tried to go see if BUY.COM had the aforementioned $38.99 XBOX LIVE GOLD card. Which, by the way, THEY DON'T! It is on today's BUY.COM DEAL OF THE DAY, but it's $50, not $38.99.

It was $38.99 for most of the day. They deal is dead now though. The article has been updated to reflect that but the other XBL Gold sales listed are still good.
