Worst Games of the Year 2012

Most people might be busy talking about the best games of the year, but what about the ones that totally sucked? The ones that crushed your innocent soul into a million pieces and are responsible for that convenient controller-shaped hole in your television? We certainly played some bad eggs this year, so here are a few of our key picks.

None of the games on this list are even bad at all. I mean maybe RE6 but god damn there was some signification worse games this year. Remember Amy?

By the way, just to avoid more hits heres their ridiculous list of the worst games of 2012, here's what they put:

While one may have been disappointed by a game, it does not necessarily mean those games were terrible.

These are far from the "worst" games of the year. If that was their goal, then they missed the mark.

I completely agree. It should have been "Most disappointing".

But even then, I did not find PS All Stars disappointing what so ever, I loved it and anyone who comes over and plays it loves it as well, they even bought it afterwards!

I didn't think Doom 3 BFG was disappointing or even bad, but I never played it or the original so...

How 'Family Guy: BttM' didn't make that list is mystifying..

I like 'Family Guy' but that game was an awful POS..

No 'Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor' either.

Makes me wonder if that website even knows what constitutes a bad game.

This list was just made to upset people. Either that or these guys only played a few games this year, because there was waaaaay worse games than AC3, PSASBR, RE6, etc.

I have played almost all the AAA titles this year and the only games that I play most often almost everyday that is, are:

Diablo 3 (very addicted)
Guild Wars 2
BF3 with DLC's

The article does not make a proper argument as to why Diablo 3 sucks according to Alex. Stay online? Well I dont mind. I play all my steam games online for syncing n stuff. Hell I play Diablo 3 only online with other players and thats where the fun is at. Diablo 3's story is fine by me. I love the beautiful cgi custcenes and the in between 2d sketch like cutscenes.

The voice acting is pretty nice. The artwork is fantastic. The reason im able to play it again and again besides the progressive loot is the art design. Also as usual this blizzard game is very polished and user friendly. Easy to log on, acces quests, form a group real quick etc.

I know there is a minority of whiners within the 10 million who bought the game but most of us are busy enjoying it.

Also the RMAH(real money auction house) is not a big deal. I would like to use it to sell and buy if necessary. That does not mean its pay to win. You dont have to buy anything from the AH at all.

I understand its all subjective but to me Diablo 3 is a good game. I know ppl might hate on my opinion but I actually bought Torchlight II first and then switched to Diablo. T2 is also a good game but somehow I prefer the polish, artstyle, soundtrack and the overall feel of Diablo 3.

Also as some others have mentioned, AC3, Diablo 3 cant be in this list anwyays. Unless you all have not played the actual bad games this year then fine.

Who can disagree with RE6 & D3? it's 2 of my 4 most disappointing games ever!

For Me:

Resident Evil die after Shinji Mikami left, RE5/RE6 was just the last nail in the coffin.

Diablo die when Blizzard North disband & Jay Wilson decide to drag the franchise to the deepest sh1t hole on earth & deeper.

Silent Hill die when Team Silent disband & 1 of the most horrifying & psycho game series ever become a ball from one foreign studio to the next..

(& 1 bonus & that one hurt me more than anything else)

Final Fantasy die when Hironobu Sagakuchi left & is dead for 10 whole years now & nothing is gonna change that, unfortunately...

R.I.P. FF, RE, SH, Diablo.

(Our only bright star that still left to guide us all, is none other than Hideo Kojima, the man who never disappoint)

There's a difference between a game being disappointing, and a game being bad.

A disappointing game is one that doesn't live up to your expectations, i.e. the situation with FF XIII. But the game isn't bad. It's not broken or overly flawed. It's just not what most people wanted it to be.

A bad game is one that doesn't work, or doesn't work very well. These games may also be disappointing- for example, if you had high hopes for Steel Battalion- but the game is bad because it fails to do what it tries to do.

Id about you guys but if you followed the AC series you can understand why it's one of the worst in the series although that does not give it a reason to be one of the worst games of 2012
