Namco Bandai Turning Wii U Game Into A Free-to-Play Title

Tank! Tank! Tank! was one of the Wii U launch titles in all territories, but by looking at Miiverse activity it seems like the arcade game didn’t catch on at home in Japan. Tomorrow, Namco Bandai is taking a different approach with Tank! Tank! Tank!—they’re turning it into an upgradable demo.

It's never F2p, There is always Micro-transactions keeping it up ;)

But you never know, This might become a true F2p.

You don't have to pay a cent to play a F2P game. Micro-transactions are usually boosters and cosmetics, which are always optional and do not prevent you from playing, which is the case of a lot of MMOs.

In TTT's case, it seems like there's a 3 plays a day restriction (which can be lifted by buying any extra pack for it). I wonder if this is gonna be available in the US too...

This isn't a bad idea, at least Namco Bandai gets another opportunity to market this game - although I don't know who to. I certainly wont be buying it, the reviews weren't great and the gameplay looks pretty terrible but most of all (and I'm no graphics whore) those ugly, ugly graphics make my eyes want to vomit.

I didnt have a problem with the game or the graphics... But they wanted way more than it was worth at retail.
