1up.com: Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward might not be for everyone; all told, most of its 35-40 hours involve reading a steady stream of dialogue with very few graphical flourishes, which some would say doesn't make best use of our spectacle-focused medium. Look beyond its old-school fundamentals (rooted deep with Japanese adventure games of the '80s), though, and you'll find a bold rethinking of how games can deliver a narrative.
Can't wait for the third installment!!
... Does this game have an option for the original (Japanese) language!?
If not, then I can't be bothered. It's 2012. There are no excuses anymore to leave the original language out of a release.
The only excuse I can think of leaving the original language out of release is if fear of reverse importation or licensing the Japanese track would be too costly (or the company is too cheap lol)
... was actually looking at Persona 4 Gold in the shop yesterday, after reading some rave reviews about it, but once I saw on the back it only has english audio, I immediately put it back.
lets hope this trend continues and we get visual novels on consoles, usually them ones never get localised.
Sakura Wars was only one that I can think of that got localised
There's no way I can support that kind of stuff
btw I own both (3DS and Vita) versions and haven't encountered any bugs
About the voice acting thing... I don't know what I can do for you there except deal with it? It's not like the Japanese voice acting is awful (neither is the English one)
