This is a pretty poor Top 5 list considering the big names coming out in 2008.

Ghostbusters? Sure, could be fun - could suck. I'll reserve judgment, but I'd hardly call it a Top 5 contender.
The AGENCY? Really? Okay...
Smash Brothers and GTA4 are fair choices.
Spore, I could go either way on. It's on *my* Top 5 list, for sure, but as a general Top 5 list I'd probably go (in no particular order):

GTA4
MGS4
Gears of War 2
Smash Brothers
Resistance 2

The problem with a "Top 5" list for 2008 is there's just too many games with great potential out to limit yourself to only *five*. If I expand my list to Top 10 it becomes more reasonable:

GTA4
MGS4
Gears of War 2
Smash Brothers
Resistance 2
Spore
Little Big Planet
Ninja Gaiden 2
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (SHUT UP! It totally counts...)
Soul Calibur 4

only game I agree with is Smash Bros.

This is why MSNBC should stick to news. The agency and Ghost Busters? Does Ken Smith even play games or did he just throw a dart at a board and that is how he came to those conclusions? Obviously GTA should be one and I could make a case for spore and smash brothers (I personally won't play either); but the other two games probably have no business being on a top 20 list let alone a top 5.

I really dont know where they got that top 5 from. Somebody got something screwed up somewhere. GTA sure, Spore Maybe, Agency Slight Maybe still to early to tell. I think it would be really hard to make just a top 5 for this year. But it should have been better than that.

Number one was a tad unexpected...
