1UP's Favorite Games of 2012: Mass Effect 3

1up.com: In my world, Tali'zorah vas Normandy had a happy ending. My Commander Shepard -- a woman so dedicated to peace and compassion that she makes Captain Picard look like some sort of imperialistic tyrant -- saw to that. By making hard choices, alienated allies and giving her would-be foes the benefit of a doubt, Shepard managed to forge a sort of repatriation between the nomadic Quarians and their treacherous creations, the cybernetic Geth. The reunification of the two races wasn't without its hitches, but it happened, and Tali was among the first Quarians to stand on her species' homeworld for centuries. It was a great moment. (Mass Effect 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
