Famitsu Giving Away Seifer Almasy Card For Final Fantasy Artniks

Did you know Famitsu has a magazine just for GREE games? GREE is Japan’s social gaming goliath which was the center of attention at Tokyo Game Show. GREE has original games like Knights vs. Dragons plus dozens of license tie ups like Naruto Ninja Masters.

The magazine also includes a rare Seifer Almasy card as a bonus. Seifer is a thunder type character with 1500 attack and 1500 defense. (Final Fantasy Artniks, Final Fantasy VIII, iPad, iPhone)

Awesome

I think someone should make collectors Triple Triad cards for FF8 fans

I would get that in a heartbeat.

Man I want this card... Seifer is badass. Also, I've always called him "Seefer" since I was younger, but apparently it's pronounced "Safer" lol. Some I've heard even call him "Saifer". Ahhh, the days when FF games had no voice acting... You just had to guess how it was pronounced.

...Chickenwuss.

It is actually pronounced Saifer like you mentioned, the japanese method of pronouncing it is Saifa with the elongated accent over the a.

I still can't believe that Tidus is pronounced Teedus though. That's so stupid and I'll never pronounce his name that way. Tiedus all the way.

Really? Then perhaps it shouldn't be spelled like that at all in that case. o_o Considering in Japanese they pronounce "ei" as something akin to "A". At least based on my Japanese language skills.

Yeah though, I agree on that one. I always called him "Tiedus" as well. "Teedus" does sound really lame... XD

Maybe I'm conveying it wrong. I mean it to sound like Psyfer.

I pronounce it as Sai-fa/Cypher too, but my sister pronounces it as "See-fer". Though I've heard some pretty bizarre pronunciations for FF characters in the past, so I guess it's different for everyone. (I remember seeing an argument on a Final Fantasy forum years ago where people were debating whether Edea was pronounced "Ee-dee-ya", "Ay-day-ah", "Id-eh-ah" and so on.)

"Tee-dus" will always sound weird to me though. Considering he's a character who's history/skills revolve mostly around water, he will always be Tide-uss to me. Tide = water. Makes sense to me :)
