All but 2 of those games we will probably never see in the West.
For some reason I dont get why Japanese studio's dont try to localise some of those visual novel games and advertise it and see how well it does in the West.
Visual novels or storybooks can actually do quite well on the smartphone and tablet markets. It may be that they just don't see a market for it, and may not be worth the time and money involved. Maybe with the Vita as a digital download in the future.
Mario always gets those high scores. i wonder how Mario games would do if they just changed the name and face of the character.. maybe call him Pete or something
