cannot wait for this game, the first was an amazing experience, flawed in some areas (gunplay a bit wonky) but deep, errie setting, excellent voice acting and i loved the narration

pumped for this!

hope it comes to all platforms, even wii u i hope gets announced, so everyone can experience this beauty, and so THQ can make some decent coin.

buy this game!

Already confirmed it's not coming out for the Wii U.

:/ first one gave me motion sickness <.< and watching trailers of this... does the same :( guess i'll be missing out on it even tho it looks enjoyable to play

You may wanna get your eyes checked. I really don't mean any offense by that, it's just you're the first person I've seen complain about that:/ Personally, I think the game looks great. One of the only games where a lack of color actually better immerses the player in it's apocalyptic world.

RevXM4134d ago

Agreed.
This is a very realistic looking apocalypse which looks lush and vibrant through other means than spamming the screen with colours.

Killzone 2 also does this for me, but its not to say we dont need more colours in these kind of games. Last of us looks awesome, but its a whole another story and setting also which is great, I think it just boils down to variety and style/setting, too much of the same may get boring with time.

did you play with or without a crosshair as that can contribute towards motion sickness. Also how many games affect you? if there are a few then I would get get it checked tbh, as a friend of mine had an issue he also had headaches quite often.

that's the only one that's ever done that to me, I've played other shooters and I never got motion sickeness before playing Metro 2033

SAE4134d ago

just add this to my list :P ..

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco3372d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.

Metro: Last Light - Still Fresh After 10 Years

4A Games' Metro: Last Light originally launched on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC 10 years ago today, and still holds up.

I got bored of Hogwarts crazy quick and it's bugs, was looking for just any good game got the Metro trilogy for about £8.50 in a Steam sale played through 2033 Redux, Last Light Redux and now am on Exodus. The series is awesome, the first two are like more liner story driven FPS with a few options to confront the levels, stealth, no kill runs and guns blazing, depending on how you play effects the story and its outcome. Third game I'm playing now is heavy story driven (but optional if you don't want to listen you can just walk away... I don't know why you would though) with large open levels that take hours to explore and still some of the best use of RTX I've seen to date, can play this game on ultra with DLSS set to quality, raytracing set to ultra at 4K with no dips, played on Extreme setting and was getting a few drops around water and some interiors.

Cant recommend this series enough and as a new fan I can't wait to see the next game in 2024... I also got the audio books so looking forward to see how well the games follow the original books. A4 Games are extremely talented.
