Edit: LoZ can attempt the "realistic" graphics, but not to the point of modern games. It's soul is in it's particular design. Making it realistic would be a something hard to understand and accept, IMO.
If it works within the context of the game, then I don't really have any bias toward one style or the other. Contrary to popular belief, a "realistic" style does not necessarily mean that a game is going to be devoid of all whimsy or creative design.
I was always a fan of the Ocarina/Majora look (realistic but stylized and colorful). I did really like Skyward Sword's look though (probably the only complete compliment I can give that game). I think overall, a realistic environment is great but needs vibrant colors. However, characters should always maintain a certain animated appearance.
