The many major missteps of Far Cry 3

VentureBeat writes: I’ve been having a blast with Far Cry 3, but no game is perfect, and neither is this one. I already covered the game’s more annoying minor issues – the ones that pop up frequently but aren’t that bad, not really. They don’t significantly detract from the quality of the game, but they exist. You can work around them, but you can’t avoid them. You deal with them. They’re the kind of flaws you can love the game in spite of.

But Far Cry 3 has major issues, too, and they’re much harder to deal with.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead. (Far Cry 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Agreed completely about needing more Vaas. One of the best characters of 2012.

FC3 is great but it does have some flaws.

My biggest gripe was the radio towers and the amount of different people on the island. There were maybe 20 character models for the entire game. This ruined the immersion for me. For a game that has so much atmosphere, it kills it when you can literally walk around a small village and see five or so of the same exact character model.

The radio towers felt like a rip off of AC3 to me. Each one was slightly different to climb, but it was still tedious, boring, and completely unnecessary. They should have just made them into having to go to the highest points on the map to scope out the area instead. A lot of times the radio tower wasn't even the highest point around, why would you scope out an area that is lower thant the gigantic mountain next to you?

The game is friggin fantastic though and enjoyed playing it, those were just my major gripes.
