What A Fallout: Black Isle Revival Goes Apocalyptic

You may or may not be aware of the defunct studio called Black Isle Studios. Well, it was defunct but back in August Interplay revived the name and the studio. What is strange is that yesterday Black Isle made a video about the Mayan calendar, the apocalypse and announced a new game. Well, they announced a concept of a new game. (Black Isle Studios, PC)

Hopefully it'd have more stable servers for multiplayer. I hated crashing in a middle of the game.

This isn't Black Isle. This is a bunch of unrelated developers trying to cash in on the Black Isle name. None of the original developers work at this new studio. 80% of the original developers work at Obsidian.

I can't fund these guys, not when they don't even have the integrity or the balls to stand on their own with their own name instead of tarnishing the reputation of one of the best RPG studios ever.

Actually, there is one designer from the original studio (Chris Taylor) but what you say is true, this has nothin to do with the real Black Isle and their crowdfunding id complete BS.

I've already pledged a lot of money to several kickstarter projects and I am a HUGE fan of Baldur's gate but there is no way I'm gonna give these guys any money

Well, that is sort of what I say in the article - "However, the realist in me is very suspicious because this isn't the Black Isle we all remember and love."

It is Black Isle by name, but yeah, we all know it's a cash in by Interplay. One that will fall flat due to the flaccid nature of everything shown. They want us to fund a studio effectively.
