What To Learn From Far Cry 3

"Why has the RPG genre become the most influential and proliferated genre this generation? It seems that no matter what game you pick up from the shelves, it has RPG elements sewn throughout the game. The inclusion of these elements into other games brings a whole new level of immersion and connectability (yes, I made that word up) to a game than ever before. As gamers, if we can shape what our character turns into at the end of a game; we somehow gain more of an emotional connection to the character and therefore are willing to spend more time/money on that game." - PS Addiction (Far Cry 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
