Do Video Games cause Violence?

Since the deadly Newtown elementary school shootings, everyone has been pointing fingers and blaming everything under the sun for what happened. While many are shouting mental health, and gun control laws – there is an ever growing voice that is pointing the blame on our favorite past time – Video Games. (PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Anybody who thinks games cause violence should be choked with a controller wire, then violated with a Wii remote... If only to prove an ironic point.

simple answer NO
but if videogames do cause violence then movies do, and music, lets throw books in as well, you know what i almost forgot about t.v.

I was just about to say the same thing. But most things in life do including sports. Look at football around the world.

Religion is another big one and most wars start from it but people are not saying we should scrap that.

At the end of the day its down to the person or persons who are being violent not what they have seen read ect.

People cause violence. Videogames were supposed to sorta be a way to keep them from doing it in real life...or at least that's what I thought.

People cause violence. Many people used to play Mortal Combat with blood turned on, and the only crimes they've committed was a speeding ticket, if that counts.
