New Screenshots for Disgaea D2

Nippon Ichi has released a new batch of screenshots today, showing off gameplay, cutscenes, and more importantly, Laharl’s so-called overlord wannabe sister, Sicily.

Every Disgaea is a day one purchase for me... They just keep getting better with each iteration.

Plus it doesn't hurt that the games are 10 bucks cheaper than normal games when they come out. Not to mention you're also getting assuredly more playtime out of a Disgaea game than just about any other out there. Have 130 hours on Disgaea 3 and 162 on Disgaea 4.

Are these games really that good ?

I've been hesitant to pick one up because the weird demon stuff and the long animations are kind of a turn off.

On the other hand, they keep consistently getting good ratings for almost every game in the series.

I also like SRPG's and if it plays anything like FFTA2 I might have to get it/them/ one.

They're about the deepest SRPG's you can get.

The stories, characters and humor are pretty standard anime-inspired stuff, but you're almost guaranteed to like the game even if the setting doesn't appeal to you. The gameplay is THAT good.

It's not a steep price for Disgaea 3 or 4 at this point. I say nab one up used and see how you like it (if you can). Though each game has improved in terms of what you can do over the previous. So you might want to just go with D4. It's my favorite in the series actually. Give it a little time to grow on you, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you liked FF Tactics! The amount of leveling and weapon/armor upgrades you can do on that game is insane. There's almost no end to it.

If your unsure you can get Disgaea 3 used pretty cheap now. You won't regret it.

Man, I should really buy Disgaea 4 but i wont. Im waiting for the vita version and we all know its coming, just need to know when. Anyways, I am so looking forward to DD2 :) All the disgaea games have been great!
