5 weird and mysogynistic Japanese video games

The title says it all. Prepare for oddness and eroticism to the nth degree. (Casual games, Culture, PC)

ja they are weird, but not as weird as grown men with my little ponies attached to their monitors

I don't know whether I am traumatised or intrigued by the idea of whaling on slutty schoolgirls with a fishing rod. I mean...Why? Just...why?

I played the demo of Gal Gun. It was tedious beyond belief.

Yeah same here, it was like... What the hell is the point of this?
PandaMcBearface  +   772d ago
An attempt to raise the intellectual standards of the game by making it existensial?

I think Panda nailed it! :-)

'Princess Maker

This is like having a Tamagotchi pet except for it’s a lady. Feed her, clothe her, educate her so then when she turns 18, she might marry you. Her dad. And I am completely ok with this.'

lmao

It's apparently coming to Western markets under the name, 'Woody Allen simulator 2013'.

I wouldn't say they are misogynistic... there are plenty of... er, "sexy" games featuring the opposite gender as well.
Also, Shooters have become relatively popular as of late in Japan, so that one statement was a little off.
But damn, these are... yeah.
lol. @,@

Don't you just love how Westerners misuse the word "misogynist"?
bosbvok  +   771d ago
Its because its such a hard word to use in a sentence, you have to find an excuse to try slip it in whenever you can :D
PandaMcBearface  +   771d ago
Exactly. I take every opportunity to use big words as part of my vernacular because it makes me sound smart. And sexism is a form of misogyny if you ask me.
