The War Z - The Game Rules, but this is a PR Nightmare

ChR0n1k writes, "Today the big news, Steam pulled The War Z down. [We are] pretty sure this has never happened to another Steam game before. Then, an interview at Gamespy with Sergey (the lead dev) and he either has ZERO understanding of the English language and false advertising or is just a complete idiot. When something is described on a game's box or the Steam sales page, [we] expect said features to be in the game." (PC, Steam, The War Z)

the game absolutely does not rule. I dont even think it can even qualify as a game even.

It's just stupid. Why would you even do something like this
ChR0n1k  +   769d ago
The game still is in alpha.. I saw a lot of promise in it until all this negative press stunt crap they are pulling, or just being greedy.

Please clarify why The War Z doesn't qualify as a game? Sure seems like a video game to me dude.

the game aint in alpha hasnt been for weeks.
people need to realise this is the full game and it was a clear cash grab and a load of shit one at that.

it's not a bad game i play it when it was released in alpha month backs i pay for what i wanted it's wasn't a finish game but Unfinished game and that's what i bought...

at first there was loads of bugs which made the game unplayable but i hardly come across any bugs now.. besides the annoying hackers once And while the game is fun

it's just misunderstood they said most of the features wont be playable at first....

regardless it's a fun game but the hate for the game seems unfair and unkind...

Nope. They deliberately lied and misled potential customers on Steam, then tried to blame the users for misreading those lies.
It's an appalling rip-off of a game. Items bought with real money will disappear if you die, never to return. You will die a lot as the game is a barely finished mess. They instituted an update that raised the re-spawn time from 1 hour to 4 - coincidentally just when they instituted a real money charge in order to re-spawn right away. Their anti-hacking measures have banned real users, users who requested refunds were lied to and fobbed off as to why refunds couldn't be issued...including threats of being blacklisted from any future transactions with the company who handles the transactions. Screenshots of this are available all over the internet.
I've seen a video where a person lost a quarter of their health by running down a gentle slope at the bottom of a cliff. It's a mess of awful collision detection, terrible graphics, crap physics, empty game worlds between major landmarks and tons of glitches and bugs (saw a player killed by a floating backpack and flash light because the game hadn't finished loading the character models properly.
Frankly, the game and the company behind it are absolute disasters...and people attempting to defend that mess of a game have, in my opinion, extremely low standards.

What I don't understand is why people were stupid enough to buy this game anyway? As soon as I even heard the name WarZ I thought, ah sounds original and never gave it another thought.
People deserve what they got for not doing the research. Everyone heard the hype about DayZ and its hike in popularity, why would you buy an OBVIOUSLY crappy clone of a great game developed by a bunch of nobodies claiming to be the "original zombie survival mmo" when it clearly wasn't.
The first warning signs are the lies right from the getgo.

TL:DR
It's like me buying "Grand Theft Automobile" from the appstore or something and expecting it to be as good as GTA.

Just so you guys know, you cant even buy Day Z yet. You have to buy ARMA and the expansion.

I agree totally how they lied is the biggest sham in gaming in a long time, the real world money is getting pretty stupid, as I stated in my piece they need professional help on how to make money when developing a game. Its amateur hour over at Hammerpoint.

They are probably so sad right now, the Steam drop cost them literally millions, and they deserve it.
