How To Setup LittleBigPlanet 2 and the PS Vita for Cross Controller Play

LittleBigPlanet 2's Cross Controller PS Vita feature is a pretty cool thing, if you can get it to work. Check out our guide for this as well as for getting remote play to work. (PS Vita, PS3)

This should have been simple.

Isn't it simple?
Download the Cross Controller pack on your Vita and PS3.
Install them.
When in LittleBigPlanet 2, from your popit select "Cross Controller".
Then select "Remote Play" on your Vita, then "Cross Controller"

Done. Next time, skip steps one and two. How could it be simpler?

Wow, not going through all that.

It's worth it, though. I just wish more games would include the feature.

Shhhhhh we know.

its actually not hard... its just messy is all.
CommonSenseGamer  +   830d ago
Really? all that for cross controller play for 1 game?!?. Should have been a great deal easier and a default feature of the PS3/Vita combo otherwise it will be a seldom used feature.
ftwrthtx  +   830d ago
Once you have it set up, you are good to go with any games that use the feature in the future. The process should help work out any remote play bugs which will co9me in handy if/when the game pause and resume feature ever gets used.

I heard this was a pain in the ass. Sure seems like it.

Thanks for the guide

Woah, that is a very long process.

What it should be:

1. Download LBP2 update from the store
2. Download update for Vita
3. Everything works, go and play the game
4. ?????
5. Profit

If only it was that simple. Even getting the PSP connected for remote play was always a pain.
TerminalGamer  +   830d ago
For some, it was that simple. Not really sure what the main difference was from one user to the next though.

So it's not a gimmick when Sony does it
PopRocks359  +   830d ago
This is supposed to replace the Wii U? Really?
ftwrthtx  +   830d ago
Actually, this something that was used with Singstar for some time now and has been in the works for years. Not really looking to replace anything.

Well its good that someone posted up a tut, heard this install was perplexing.
jwk94  +   830d ago
I didn't have to go through all those steps.
TerminalGamer  +   830d ago
Some people got lucky and it worked great right off the bat. Others, not so much.
