Most Visually Outstanding Games of 2012

2012 was definitely a revolution in games. Even though we saw our fair share of sequels, we also saw a number of titles that helped push forward game graphics in a big way. Some were quite original, like thatgamecompany's Journey, while others took the familiar and revamped them in surprising ways, like Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros U. (Assassin's Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Journey, Need for Speed Most Wanted, New Super Mario Bros. U, PS Vita, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Trine 2 should be on this list. Not Call of Duty.

Good art direction will always prevail over bland hyperrealism.

Far Cry 3 is one of the most brilliant and with the most beautiful atmosphere a game can have, The whole FarCry series has been known for its great Graphics Capabilities starting with the First Far Cry (PC Exclusive) I wish this one was a PC Exclusive too.

Truth is truth. PS3 has the best looking console games this generation.

@Belking: No, more like fact. As for WHICH of the PS3 exclusives looks best, THAT'S opinion. But, at least until the Wii U hits its stride, the PS3 is home to the best-looking games on console.

@tachyon: Does "console" mean "platform" in whatever language you speak? Because what I meant was "console," NOT "platform." PC is not a console.
