The Walking Dead is Worthy of Game of the Year

The Publisher of GoozerNation writes, "When The Walking Dead video game was first announced earlier this year, it was something that had my attention, but I never got around to playing it. I am a big fan of the show, even though I’ve never read the comic. What drew me into the show wasn’t necessarily the gory zombies and the gruesome, blood-splattering scenes, but rather, what made me a fan of the show was the character development and the story along with the cliffhanger endings. Even when my fellow contributors at GoozerNation started reviewing the game version of The Walking Dead and sang its praises, I still wasn’t convinced to play the game. Then The Walking Dead started winning Game of the Year awards. At that point, I was convinced that I had to play the game. I went ahead and downloaded all five episodes. And I’m very happy that I did."

I am going to have to give it a try. I can't see it standing a chance if it was released last year, but this year... I don't think I can object since the year was quite disappointing. Journey was my GOTY.

agreed. It is totally worth a mention while talking about GOTY. Games like Journey and Borderlands 2 can be argued to be better, but IMO The Walking Dead comes out on top.

I gotta agree. Out of the list, The Walking Dead is the one I enjoyed the most. Great story and you really connected with the main character.

Worth being game of the year. Downloaded all five eps and it was great, it really felt like the graphics novels which is a big plus.
