EuroGamer: "Konami would love to make a sequel to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and if it does so, it would be happy to work with action game specialists Platinum once again."
yes please! i mean why not? Platinum games are awesome!
Since DMC took an awfully weird turn, this is gonna have to due for my hacknslash fix. And I trust konami
well said the demo was awesome! PG has done Raiden justice @below PG is still in contract with the numb skulls at Sega pray the contract ends now @sevir NT are the cockiest developers ever to exist it has no backbone as a development team hence an abomination DmC they have no originality do not ever compare them to Platinum Games' Shinji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya are Asian god mode level game makers
I agree. Game looks alot better than I originally expected it to turn out to be so far.
id buy it.
im in if this game turn out to be good i love ninja stealth games
if the game good then i'm all for a sequel
Platinum + Konami = Win
I don't see why they'd waste their time on a sequel to this mediocrity. It already craps all over MGS4's ending so I couldn't care less about what crap they spew in this thing. At least DmC doesn't crap all over the other storyline of the previous game. They kept the story separate and put their own spin on it. Just another reason why I'm buying DmC over this garbage.
"I'm buying DmC over this garbage"
so youll buy a complete downgrade and disgrace to a series instead of a SPINOFF game that doesnt star snake and doesnt tamper with MG SOLID, and is more like the real devil may cry games, seems legit to me.
You know that Platinum Games is working on MSGR right? Do you realize that Shinji Mikami, Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya are the people who founded Platinum Games? That's the two executive producers and director of the ORIGINAL Devil May Cry... and you instead want to play the game NOT made by them... That... makes... so... much... sense -_-
REALLY...hey Konami if you want to work with them again WHY THE HELL didn't you publish Bayonetta 2 for them. Seriously am I the only one thinking about this, then EVERYONE would of gotten it.
Best hack n slash game 2013: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Bayonetta 2. Platinum Games rulez.
The Demo impressed the heck out of me.. the whole cut mechanic is just plain awesome. Sneaking around with the cardboard box in the vr training level was a nice surprise. I just hope the upgrade system is up to the challenge and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the game's combat just gets faster and faster. The only negative thing for the game atm for me is Raiden's movement. Ninja run is good and all but he is pretty weak with the jumping and such. There will probably be upgrades but it was a bit weird to not be able to do things that we've seen him do previously.
“We believe in the Metal Gear world there are several other characters and settings and other elements that can lead to more projects” Metal Gear starring Frank Jaeger(GRAY FOX) and young Solid Snake plz
This game was made for me. I can't wait. Deep combo system, cancels and parries and dodges that swat grenades away, feels more like Devil May Cry than DmC, Metal Gear style and tech, boss weapons for your secondary, ranged weapons, solid difficulty, great homages to Casshern and Friender, Ninja Turtle references, aggressive enemies and bosses, light stealth, upgrades by way of collecting enemies' hands, LOCK ON, clever humor, great feeling 1:1 sword control, destructible environments, lightning katanas and giant drop kicking gorilla robots. Giant. Drop kicking. Gorilla. Robots.
@disagree: you hate fun.
Platinum Games have been my favorite new devs this generation. Let them do more projects Konami!!
I mean I agree with the consensus that This game will be awesome, but I've been saying that since I saw the Platinum Games Logo on the Reveal in 2011 VGAs... Back then this game was bashed as crap that butchered the MGS storyline and that this was "Raiden May Cry"... I just find it funny and a bit hypocritical that Platinum can get away with tacking on a story to a franchise that concluded the arc MGS, but People can still turn around and vehemently hate NT and Capcom for doing a Reboot instead of tacking on a story to the already jumbled history for DMC... I agree the that DmC is a slower game in light of past DMCs, but this is a DMC game by another developer, just like how MG in Platinum's hands is a different beast than MGS! Its hard to really judge a product on a demo that doesn't even have the full features or upgrades. Since its inception both DmC and MGS:R underwent some crazy bashing for essentially the same reason. Take a game franchise and propel it forward with a new story and new dev house because the parent company couldn't bring the vision to life themselves. Both teams worked hard to remedy the complaints levied at them but only one has gotten away with it while the other is senselessly grilled. Both have new stories, only one is a tacked on canon story written after the conclusion of MGS4 and the other is a side step from source material. Reboot, retelling... A What if. They didn't trash the source material and tell you forget the past, they simply said just be open to this new canon. Just like Bioshock:Infinite only shares the "Bioshock" name, its a new up and a new retelling, reimagining of That doesn't do away with the old just pushes things forward with a new story, I just don't understand why people refuse to give the same reprieve to NT and DmC. I'm excited for MGR:R but I have been since it was Platinum Games, because I knew of the pedigree. By the same Token, I'm excited behind the pedigree of DmC, NT are amazing at stories and there Combat system has only improved since Heavenly Sword, and is far more responsive. I don't compare DmC to the Past DMC games much like how you'd be a fool to compare MGR:R to Past MGS games. These are essentially new IPs with only sharing the name of its parent franchise. It's really time for gamers to get past petty angst and nostalgia and all these two products to stand on their own. Without the senseless bashing, the sooner we do that the better we'll get experience the hard work these 2 development studios have put in, in crafting games that can stand on their own. Bring on DmC and Bring on MGR:Revengence
