The State of Nintendo's Franchises

IGN looks ahead to what’s on the way next from the Big N’s biggest brands. (3DS, Nintendo, Wii U)

The small country of Nauru will probably put a man on Jupiter before we see a new Ice Climber game.

AH!, ok, I admit I had that one coming...Seriously though, ow! I do wish Nintendo was at a national state though...

I always forget just how many IPs Nintendo has. I hope they all get new games this generation. Also, I hope the author is right about a new 3DS Zelda coming in 2013.

Franchises that could definitely use some invigoration...

-Star Fox
-F-Zero
-Metroid (something completely different from Other M at least writing wise)
-Kirby (seriously, HD sequel to Air Ride or Return to Dreamland, I'll take either)
-Earthbound (never gonna happen, but I want it)
-Dillon's Rolling Western (I think it deserves an HD sequel. That's one new IP I'm very enthusiastic about)

EDIT: A new Pokemon Snap would be nice too.

How awesome would it be if Retro made a new Starfox?

Then again, it would be equally awesome it they just made another Metroid...
