The PlayStation Move was released just over two years ago and ushered in motion controlled gaming for PlayStation 3 owners. The Game-Modo guys share their experiences and opinions on the PlayStation Move.
What do you think of the PlayStation Move? Are you still using it? What future things do you see Sony using it for?
Mine hasn't been used since kz3, really regret my purchase as I paid MSRP for them
Seemed like it could be an interesting concept (which is what I felt for the Wii and it's motion controller. Yet the games that come out for it...just aren't that enticing or it just seems cheaply tacked on. Various ideas are abuzz in my head about what the Move and even the Wii could be capable of but it just seems it's much easier not to go that route. I have a PS Move still trying to find some games worth playing for it. I know I'll be picking up Child of Eden soon
"Killzone 3, Resistance 3 do work kinda well with the Move but the calibration is highly complex to get it working well and when it does don't move because it will need re calibrating in Killzone 3 and Resistance 3's settings, surely gaming shouldn't be this complex?"
The first day I used Sharpshooter with the KZ3, I was EXTREMELY frustrated with the calibration. I came very close to returning it. Then I figured out that small, controlled movements were the key to getting it to work properly.
It requires just a bit of patience. But once you get it to work the first time, you never forget how to do it. It took me about two days(2 hours a day) and researching forums to figure out what to do.
During calibration, there are four points at the four corners of your TV. Your not supposed to aim your gun DIRECTLY at each of these points. Instead aim the move just a little bit upwards/downwards from the center of the camera(If ur not using Sharpshooter, DON'T move your arm, just move your wrist slightly), that way when your playing, you don't have to perform these large movements...thus diminishing arm/back strain.
Move REALLY improved the KZ3 experience for me. Same with Infamous 2. It performs okay with RE3 as well. I would recommend it, but I wouldn't pay more than 100 bucks for the whole set(Sharpshooter, Nav controller, Move controller, PS Eye) considering that only a few games support it REALLY well.
I'm heavily anticipating Bioshock: Infinite and Until Dawn.
Right now it's finally getting at the right price!
dusty!! and a waste of my money so far, hopefully my kid likes wonderbook and until dawn is actually good then it may get some more use.
