The Music Styling of Papo & Yo, Soundtrack and Sale on PSN Tomorrow

Posted by Deborah Chantson // Community Manager, Minority Media -

Just as I wrote about graffiti in Papo & Yo back in July, I wanted to share another story and video diary about how we captured the unique music and sound to transport players deeper into the South American favela of Quico’s imagination. And with the flood of requests we’ve gotten since launch, I’m excited to announce that the Papo & Yo soundtrack will be available for purchase starting tomorrow on PSN in North America! As a special release day promotion, it will be on sale for 15% off the regular price (30% off for Plus members) until January 4th. (Papo & Yo, PS3)

I'm the only person I really know who absolutely loved this game. I can't recommend it to anybody here because everybody I know personally who I recommended it to and who played it hated it, or just didnt find it interesting. Even the few people who's opinions I respect surprised me by failing to share my love for it.

I loved the look of it early on and bought it right away, but there were a few issues with it which prevented me from progressing unfortunately, since then I haven't had much desire to keep going.

The game's wacky and I loved it. It's very kid themed on the outside as far as art style and certain aspects of the gameplay go, but the underlying story and themes were quite adult. I liked how the story was based on the childhood problems of the creative director.

The puzzles were just TOO easy though. Gonna play through it again soon. Can't wait to see what they do next.
