The Games, The Media, and The Violence

Kevin wrote a quick piece on the media/people and the shooting which occurred on December 14th. Where Mass Effect is being blamed as a cause for the shooting. (BioWare, Culture, EA, Industry, Mass Effect Series, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

the media blaming games on violence is all it does is add to my hatred for the human race and how i just wish this world would end sooner

Blaming games on real life violence is not totally stupid, though they have far from the blame alone.
What makes people all bad is bad parenting, being alone and experiencing bad stuff. People shut themself inside their rooms, thinking everyone else is stupid. Then if the person is a bit "loo-loo" in the head they might get super angry at everyone and get inspiration from violent video games. then they do violence.
That's at least one scenario I see likely.

You know when I was 6 I knocked my head of a wall and knocked 2 teeth out (baby teeth thank god). You wanna know what I was doing which led to me injuring myself? Pretending to be fighting.... like a power ranger -_-

I cant have been the only kid to have been injured from pretending to be a power ranger so why haven't we declared al out war on those dramatic pricks yet!?!?!?!?!

games are not the problem...if so what about music and movies we all watch and listen to...its the stupid parents who dont care what their kids play or listen to or those who have no idea and are talked into buying something they shouldnt...i play games watch rated R movies and i have never done anything harmful or thought about it...its just a sorry excuse for someone to blame the stuff this generation loves to be involved in...ps buy mass effect trilogy soon or it could be banned after all it was blamed to be the reason for the shooting because the shooter liked playing that game...which is why games were involved...

Older generations always think the younger generations are getting worse. They are either too weak or too violent, depending on the argument. Facts aren't required, which is evident whenever I hear an someone reminiscing about the 40's 50's and 60's, saying how life was so much better. History, of course, paints a very different picture.

Its a cycle that will repeat over and over until the end of time.
